EXTRADITION CASE

WRIT OF HABEAS CORPUB. FURTHER APPLICATION MADE(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Wednesday. A further application on behalf of Madge <Munro for thß Issue of a writ of habeas corpus is toeing heard toy the Fjill Court to-day. Munro is one of two prisoners toeing held pending extradition to Sydney, the validity of which has been attacked. The point at issue is whether New

South Wales comes within the’deflnition of “ part of Ills Majesty’s Dominions ” in the Fugitive Offenders’ Act, the submission toeing that the Act, in providing for the rendition of prisoners in British possessions, clearly intended that the possessions should be Indivisible units, and that since the constitution of the Australian States into the Commonwealth, New South Wales w r as no longer an indivisible unit, but had become part of a larger unit, the Commonwealth.
