FOUNDER OF ROTARY.

ADDRESS TO HAMILTON CLUB. MR PAUL HARRIS’S VISIT. The founder of Rotary International, Mr Paul Harris, at present on a New Zealand tour, is to be the guest of honour at a luncheon of the Hamilton Rotary Glub to-morrow. Mr Harris leaves Rotorua for Waitomo to-day and will arrive in Hamilton to-morrow morning.

Mr Harris, who is 67 years of age, commenced the practice of law at Chicago In 1896 as a member of the firm of Messrs Harris, Reinhardt and Russel. In 1905 he founded the first Rotary club at Chicago, laying the foundations for a great international Institution with ramifications in all parts of the world. He has in turn been president of The National Association of Rotary Clubs, the International Association of Rotary Clubs and Rotary International. For many years Mr Harris has allied himself with the Interests of crippled ohildren and inspired by his efforts Rotary has done much to alleviate suffering and ameliorate the conditions foisted upon disabled and malformed juveniles. He has been a vicepresident of the International Society for Crippled Children. Mr Harris, who is accompanied by his wife, will be met on arrival in Hamilton to-morrow by the president of the Hamilton Rotary Club, Mr J. S. Prentice, and the members. Ho will be entertained at luncheon and will address I lie club, before leaving during the afternoon for Auckland.
