DEER STALKERS’ SUCCESS.
SPORT AT WAIKWREMOANA. WAIKATO PARTY’S TRIP. 'Good sport was experienced by Messrs D. B. Livingstone and D. Livingstone, of Tuhikaramea, on a deer stalking expedition in the hilly bush country around Lake Walkaremoana, Messrs Livingstone, who returned home this week after fen days in the bush, found deer plentiful, although there was a considerable number of parties out. During their visit to the Walkaremoana district they accounted for about 20 deer, most of which were secured well back in the bush. Air •D. Livingstone, who was having bis first deer stalking trip, brought down a very heavy 15-pointer which was stated by one of the oldest residents lo be tile finest head ever obtained in the district. The head, which was well formed and of good shape, was 58 inches wide and 3G inches deep.
