•Mean Temperature, 65 deg. The barometer has a rising tendency and reads 30,40. A continuance oi fine weather is indicated today and possibly to-morrow with light southerly winds prevailing and lower temperatures.

Rainfall for 24 hours endid 9 o’clock this morning, .001 - Rainfall for previous 24 hours .OOin. Total for April to date, 2.511 n. Rainfall for year to date, 10.19 in. „ Average rainfall, for April, 4.13 in.

SOUTH AUCKLAND AREA
(By Govt. Meteorologist.) The special forecast bj the Government Meteorologist covering the WaikatoThames Valley is as follows: Forecast: Light to moderate winds, mainly easterly. Weather fair to fine. Cool night and warm day temperatures. Seas smooth to moderate. General Inference: An anticyclone still covers New Zealand and since yesterday has increased in intensity. The depression over the western Tasman sea has to a large extent filled up.
