MAUNGATAUTARI NOTES.
GOLF OPENING. A large number of local residents and visitors from Cambridge attended the opening of the 'Wairakau Golf Club’s new links at Maungatautari on Saturday. Afternoon tea was served by the ladies of the club. Among those present were:—Mesdames J. M. Scott, 11. Morris, H. Clarke, Forrester, McVicar, Waite, O'Neill, N: Waddle, Skelton, Allen, Currie, M. Garland, George Vosper, Meeking, C. W. Vinnell, K Kings--ford, M. Willis, 'lmrle, Joe Banks, Young, E. Peake, F. S. Day. Misses G. Hay, L. Hay, H. Fisher, G. Broad, Lawes, I. Meeking, M. Peake, V. Hill.
