1000 CASES THROWN AWAY. PRICES REMAIN HIGH. . (By Telcgrapn.—rress Association.) AUCKLAND, Friday. Local importers said to-day that they expect to have to throw away fully 1000 cases of 1000 cases of bananas which arrived from Samoa last night.

Half of the consignment was fully ripe, and another quarter was overripe. In consequence prices on the markets to-day remained high.
