Giving evidence in a case in which a man was charged with having habitually consorted wilh criminals, a police entislnhle said Dial criminals ronslanl ly robbed bookmakers at Paddington and liarl in gb ill’s I, llien brulally bandied them so Dial llicy would be afraid lo seek police aid. The police alleged Dial through fear of ibreals'made by reputed criminals, bookmakers had become, so terrorised Hint, they declined to come forward and give information in the Courts. The accused was sentenced lo six months’ imprisonment.
