BIBLE CLASS WORKERS

ST. ANDREW’S FAREWELLS. After being actively associated with the youth work of the St. Andrew’s 'Church for some years, the Misses Ruth Gilbert and Bessie Minehin and Messrs. S. Clark and* 11. 11. Gilbert were farewelled by members of the 'Bible 'Class organisations on the eve ot their departure from 'Hamilton. ■-> Mr Clark is to enter the Bible Training Institute at Auckland, while Miss Minehin, Miss Gilbert- and Mr Gilbert are studying at the Otago University 'College. The earlier part of the evening was taken up by games and competitions, while items were presented by Miss Joan Sellar, Miss Daisy Gilmore and Messrs. 'B. (Primrose and G. W. Moore. In presenting an engraved eversharp pencil to Mr Clark, the Rev. H. G. Gilbert referred Lo the great work he had performed while associated with St. Andrew’s. On behalf of the Bible 'Classes lie expressed the hope that he would enjoy a helpful and inspiring training at the Bible Training Institute. Similar eulogistic reference was made by 'Mr 'G. W. Moore in presenting a pair of book-ends to Miss Gilbert and a set of sleeve-links to Mr Gilbert. Miss C. Paterson presented a crystal fruit dish to Miss Minehin. All the recipients, who were accorded musical honours, briefly replied and , expressed their regret at having to terminate their active associations with St. Andrew’s.
