UNEMPLOYED WORKERS
THE WOMEN’S AUXILIARY. The weekly meeting of the Women’s Auxiliary of Ihe Unemployed Workers’ Movement, (Hamilton branch) was hold in Toorak Hall on Tuesday, Mrs 'Collins presiding. 'Correspondence relative -|o denial treatment was read and Mrs Snookes gave a reßprt detailing the procedure necessary to obtain same. It was decided to -support the action of oilier centres Regarding increase of relief rales and sustenance. It was decided also that letters lie sent reprosenling the case of children who received no benefit from either Unemployment Board or the Family Allowance Act. Mr -Croall, who was to have addressed the meeting, was unavoidably prevented from doing so. Mrs Snookes was appointed to represent, the organisation at the next meeting of the Incensing Board, at which the question of lower fares on hospital buses will he dealt with. Sympathy was expressed with Mrs Waters in the illness of members of her family. Morning tea was served by Mcsdames Davis and Parsons, and the meeting closed at noon. A vote ot thanks was passed to Air McLachlan for his assistance in printing cards.
