The Times’ Delhi correspondent says that Sir James Origg, the Finuneo .Minister, has introduced the Budget. It anticipates a surplus of £ J .123,000 for the coining year, ot which £1,020,000 would he oil’s el. by income tax reduction. The export duly on rawskins would he abolished leaving a nominal surplus of £i5,000. Last year’s surplus enabled an allocation of £1,070,000 to tlic Bihar earthquake relief. If is anticipated Bint the H>3’i-3j surplus will he £2,880,000 owing to Improved customs revenue alter allowing for 1.1 ic pay out restorations, costing £BIO,OOO.
