Indications are for continued fine weather to-day and pbssibly to-morrow, with the present south-easterly winds varying to north-easterly. Warmer temperatures may be experienced. The Rainfall. Rainfall for 24 hours ended 9 o’clock this morning, .OOin. Rainfall for previous 24 hours .OOin. Total for February to date, 4.77 in. Rainfall for year to date 5.57 in. The special forecast hy the Government Meteorologist covering the WalkatoThames Valley Is a 9 follows: Forecast: Light to moderate east to north-east winds. Weather fair to fine and warm. General Inference: An Intense anti-cyclone is now centred near Chatham Islands, while a shallow depression is approaching the southern portion of the Dominion from the Tasman Sea.
