POCKET SUBMARINE.

The Daily Telegraph’s naval writer says that the Shark, Britain’s pocket submarine, costing £250,000. is undergoing trials in the Channel. It is barely 200 feet in length and displaces 670 tons and! for rap'd diving the- type is- not surpassed. It can perform a crash dive in 30 siaands- The craft has six lubes discharging 21inch •topedoes so a salvo would disable any battleship afloat. The Sharp is equippedl with wireless and an escape tube. She carries four officers and 30 men.
