FRANKTON STOCK SALE. SHEEP PRICES IMPROVE. There Averc larger yardings of beef, sheep and pigs at the weekly stock sate at the Frankton yards to-day, AA'hen values for ox and co\v beef were firm at late rates \vlii 1 c sheep and pig quotations sliOAved an increase over previous sales. Ox and cow beef came forward in largo numbers and avS llt competition keen laic rates were avcll maintained. Sheep came forward in larger numbers and the demand a\'us keener Ilian last week, values showing a decided increase. Lambs especially sold very well. There Avas a full yarding of pigs and all sections wore easily disposed of on a (Inning market. Quotatons: - Beef. —Prime fat bullocks, £0 to f.) L7s Od; medium prime fat bullocks. £8 to £8 I7s Oil: lighter prime fat bullocks, £7 f>s t<j <57 lbs; prime heavy fal, cows, £5 7.s Od to £0; medium prime fat, cows, £4 7s Od to £5 ns: lighter prime fat cows, £.7 to £7 18s; light fal 'cows, £1 18s to £2 J2s Oil.
Sheep.—Extra prime shorn wethers 27s to 20s; fal shorn wethers, 27s to 2 is; tinllnishcd welhcrs, 21s Od to 22s Od; fat hoggets. 22s to 20s. fal. lambs, 18s Od to 27s Od; fal shorn ewes, 14s lo 11s Od.
Pigs.—Rnconers, 00s to 775; porkers, -10 s to 70s; large stergs, 2,7 s to 345.
