SOUTH AUCKLAND AREA. (By Govt. Meteorologist. The speoial forecast by the Government Meteorologist covering the WaikatoThames Valley is as follows. Forecast: Light to moderate and variable winds, tending north-easterly and later freshening. Weather for the most part fair to One, warm and sultry,-but isolated local rains probable. Seas moderate. General Inference: A moderate anti-cyclone is moving slowly off New Zealand to the east. Pressure is falling over eastern Australia, where conditions are becoming very disturbed.
