BREAK-UP PARTY.

HAMURANA KINDERGARTEN. The break-up party of the Hamurana Kindergarten was a pleasant little function. The room was gay with flowers and the children’s faces bright with expectation. The tiny tots, who showed evidence of careful training, enjoyed singing, reciting and presenting a play the “Queen of the Flowers” in fancy dress to their mothers and friends. Each child presented his or her mother with an envelope and Christmas card, made by themselves, as well as a photograph of a 'kindergarten group. When the 11 file ones, still in fancy costume, danced around the Christmas tree, it was indeed a 'happy scene.

Before the close of the party, ‘afternoon tea was served and Mrs J. R. Fow passed a hearty vote of thanks to Miss Hobbs. .

Those mothers present were: — Mesdames Bisley, Blackie, Chetwin, Craig, Felmingham, A. ‘Fow, George, Kirk, 1 MoCoskerie, Moore, Robertson, Twidle, Valintine, Walters.
