GOOD SALE AT TIMARU.

Official Range of Prices.

TIMARU, Monday.

The result of the sale was generally considered to be quite .satisfactory in view of the values at the earlier sales. The majority of growers who had wool forward appeared content to accept the prices, being of the opinion that there was little to be gained by bolding off until next sale.

Jn ope instance the auctioneer, finding that bids did not reach a grower’s idea of value, which in this case was 7d a pound, passed the lot, but Immediately there came a voice from body of the hall, “ Sell,” and the lot lot was sold at sd. A fair percentage of wool passed at auction changed hands later.
