MUSIC EXAMINATIONS.
TRINITY COLLEGE TESTS. SUCCESSFUL LOCAL CANDIDATES. The supplementary practical examinations in music and elocution, conducted by the Trinity College of Music, London, were held in Hamilton on Saturday under the supervision of Mr Anderson Tyrer, the College examiner from England. The examination of the candidates at the local oentre marked the completion of Mr Tyrer’s work in New Zealand, and he \vill return to England on Friday next. On Tuesday next he is giving a recital in Wellington. The local successes were as follows : Licentiate pianoforte: Marjory McGruer. Associate pianoforte: Jessie Violet Wallace. Higher local pianoforte: Myrtle Bell Maunder. Higher local elocution: Audrey Annie Mairs. . Senior pianoforte: Olive Wells. -Junior pianoforte: Ethel Irene Arndt, Ida Campbell, Annie Marcus Hicks, Clifford Rotherham. Preparatory pianoforte: Joyce Lane, Mona Ross. Initial pianoforte: Ola May Johnstone (honours).
