WAIPA ANNUAL FIXTURE. PSYCHOLOGIST WINS MILE. WAIT AND SEE SCORES. OHAUPO TO SUNNY DOWNS. The annual'meeting of the Waipa Racing Club, held on the club’s course, Te Awamutu, on Saturday, under ideal conditions, was a disastrous one for followers of the fancied division. Not a single favourite realised expectations and while three were in a place it was only lo be expected that this was reflected in the volume of betting, ( which showed a decline on last year. Ford Acre was at a false price to win the Waipa Plate and return her supporters over a score straight-out. King March was at a comparatively good price lo win the Cup and Wait and see further upset public opinion to lead the sprint Held home in a fine finish with Lucidus and imaminL Sunny Downs added 'to the sequence of mild surprises by taking the last race In a good finish with the favourite, Prince Acre. The racing throughout was first-class and in practically every race close finishes were recorded.
