Until recently Jan Kiepura, the star of “My Song For You," has been saving all the money he earned to build a hotel near Cracow, in his native Poland. It has cost him £IOO,000. Medical baths of all kinds are its speciality, and it is now making money for the film star.
Gaumont-British. -have signed up Jack Hylton, famous orchestra conductor, whose first feature *talkie will be “Oh, Listen to the Band.”
Jack Doyle, the Irish boxer, looks particularly “tough” after letting his beard and hair grow for the title role in “McGlusky the Sea Rover," the film version of A. G. Hales’ best-sell-ing novel of adventure among the Arabs. This is Doyle's first screen part, and be has no fewer than six fights with Henry Mollison (Captain Mazarin). Tamara Desni is Yula Taiyibe, “the Flame of the Desert."
