MESSAGE BY RADIO.

AMERICA TO LITTLE AMERICA. • “We had a big 'thrill in cSePtember,” writes Mrs P. C. Swan, mother of a member of the Byrd Antarctic Expedition, to a friend in Wellington, “when we went to studio WDAF, Kansas City, and broadcast through WI2XAF to Paul. His message ithe next morning stated he had heard us very distinctly. • All our friends were listening in, and were much excited, as I had told them nothing of it, hoping to give them the surprise over 'the radio. I have received over forty letters from friends, and even from strangers who. heard me and his father speak to our son. "Paul wired me roses on my birthday, and the florist said he had also had a thrill that time, as he was one of the only three florists in the United States who have received an order for jdovvers from Little America.”
