SIR JOHN SIMON’S ADVICE.

' RUGBY, Dec. 2.

Speaking at Dumfries, the 'Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Sir John Simon, referring to the International situation, depreciated the talk about war, which he said did not make for peace.

Sir John emphasised that the League was the chief instrument for the promotion of peace, and that It was a cardinal point of the British Government’s policy to support and extend the authority of the League.
