GIFT DANCE.
FOR MISS YVONNE COUPER. Miss Mavis McGuinness was hostess at an enjoyable “ blue gift ” dance at her home in Claudeiands on Saturday evening for Miss Yvonne Couper, whose marriage takes place this month. The room was charmingly decorated with coloured streamers and bowls of spring flowers. Miss McGuinness received the guests wearing a frock of cardinal red flat ci'epe, Miss Couper wearing black flowered taffetas. Mrs McGuinness was wearing deep blue patterned georgette and Mrs Couper rose flowered sand crepe. Among those present .were Mrs T. Dewdney (Auckland), Miss Eva Beeche, Miss Nancy Gaze, Miss Beverly AlcCracken, .Miss Gady Hodgson, Miss Mary Speight, Miss Maisie Hewetson, Miss Ella Penney, Miss Jean Pope and Miss Marjorie Houghton. '
