COMPETITION AT AUCKLAND. AUGKL AN D, Sat urd ay. The champion of champions ladies golf match was played yesterday on Ihc Akarana links and was won by Miss* M. Stevens, North Shore. The contest between the three leaders, Miss Stevens, Airs Buttle, Auckland and Maungakickic, and Miss B. Hill, Tiliraugi, was very exciting in the closing stages. Mrs Buttle and Miss Hill tied for second place. Tlie ladv champions of Auckland Akarana, Maungakickie, Glcndowie, Pupuke, North Shore, Tillrangi, Waiuku, Papakura, Pukckohe, Otahuhu and Manukau clubs took part. Miss Slcvcns won with a score of gQ g.j 170, only one stroke hotter Hi an Mi's B. Buttle, S 7, Si—l7l, and Miss IL Hill, 83, 88—171.
