NAVAL PROBLEM
CONVERSATIONS IN LONDON. JAPANESE & AMERICANS CONFER. (Official Wireless.) (Received Oct. 27, 1.30 p.m.) RUGBY, Oct. 26. Another meeting in connection with the preliminary naval discussions took place between the Japanese and United Kingdom representatives, when the Japanese furnished further information in elucidation of a number of points in their proposals. It is understood these conversations continue on informal lines and the Japanese proposals have Been made orally and are not embodied In any single document. Certain technical matters which have emerged were referred to a subcommittee of naval experts of both parties to the conversations. The / conversations between the United Stales and British representatives will probably be resumed on Monday or Tuesday.
Other parties to the Washington Treaty are being kept informed of the progress of these bilateral conversations.
