Indications are for fair weather to-day; with mild temperatures and light southerly winds prevailing, later veering to a northerly direction. 4 degrees of frost were reoorded on Sunday. The Rainfall. Rainfall for year to date 28.751 n. .Yearly average, 46.321 n. SOUTH AUCKLAND AREA. (By Govt. Meteorologist. The special forecast by the Government Meteorologist covering the WaikatoThames Valley is as follows: Forecast: Moderate southwest to westerly winds. Weather fair and mild. Seas, moderate. General Inference: An ■anti-cyclone of considerable intensity covers the north Tasman Sea and northern New Zealand. A series of slight westerly degressions is passing in the south.
