“ Those beyond the frontier should realise that Austrian patience has ended and the moment will come when the methods applied against us will be used against them,” declared Prince Starhembcrg when he and M. Schuschnigg (the Vice-Chancellor and Chancellor respectively), outlined the Government’s policy to 300,000 assembled before the ex-imperial Palace in connection with a patriotic front memorial meeting to Dr. Dollfuss, in the presence of President Mikla-s and members of Cabinet and diplomats. M. Schuschnigg said he declined to make peace with Dr. Dollfuss’ derers, but he emphasised friendship with patriotic Austrian workers.
