70 IMPRISONED SEAMEN. GOVERNOR-GENERAL’S DECISION. MUST TAKE SHIPS TO SEA. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Thursday. On their, unanimously agreeing to return Immediately to Greymouth to take their different ships to sea the release from detention at Paparua prison has been approved by the Governor-General of the 70 seamen convicted at Greymouth and sentenced a fortnight’s imprisonment on charges of combining to disobey a lawful command to take the vessels to sea.

UNUSUAL SCENE AT STATION.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) 'CHRISTCHURCH, Thursday.
There was an unusual scene at th«l Templeton railway station this morning when the seventy seamen and firemen who were sentenced on Monday at Greymouth to a fortnight’s imprisonment left on the return journey to Greymouth. The Paparua prison superintendent saw them on t,he train. They proceeded without guard, accompanied by the president of the Seamen’s Union, Mr T. Walsh.
The men 'did not appear at all elated, despite their release.
It is believed that they are returning to their ships under the union's advice.
ALL SHIPS TO SAIL. TO DEPART THIS AFTERNOON. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Thursday. All ships which had been held up as a result of the seamen’s action are to sail this afternoon.
