ROTORUA HOSPITAL

ALTERATION'S TO BUILDING. ADDITIONAL GRANT MADE. Advice was received from the Health Department that Cabinet had approved of the additional grant of £725 towards alterations to the Rotorua Hospital, at the Waikato Hospital Board meeting to-day. It was stated that it was also agreed that building material from the ends of the wards and from the remnant of the old rotunda block could be used for the purposes of the alteration work without deduction from the amount of the grant. “ That is very satisfactory," commented the chairman. “We have had everything we have asked for, even to a padded cell.” Mr J. 11. Edgecumbe, the board’s architect, reported that the alterations at the Rotorua Hospital were proceeding satisfactorily.
