COMMUNITY SINGING.

A SUCCESSFUL FUNCTION. PROGRAMME OF POPULAR ITEMS. 'There was a good attendance at today’s community singing in I lie Civic Th’calrc, when an enjoyable hour was spent in llir, rendition of popular and old favourites. The singing was led by Messrs J. McKinnon, \V. Whitehead and C. 1.. Cato, Mrs Kear being at the piano.

Several items were auctioned and disposed of al a satisfactory figure. It was announced that Mr Albert Russell and Uncle Reg of IYA had written to say they would attend the Hamilton Community singing on August 21.

The first evening singing of Hie season will be held in the Y.M.C.A. tomorrow.
