WAIKATO CHAMPIONSHIPS. AMATEUR TOURNAMENT. SPARKLING EXHIBITIONS. The Waikato amateur boxing championships opened in the Alexandra Hall this afternoon, when the elimination bouts were staged. With the wealth of talent engaged some sparkling bouts were witnessed, and indicated that the semi-finals and finals in the various sections this evening will be productive of first-class entertainment. The entries this year were easily a record for the district, embracing all leading amateur talent from throughout the province.
