ATTACK ON LONDON. WEEK’S AIR OPERATIONS. United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. CopyrigTlV (Received July 21, 12.30 p.m.) LONDON, July 20. Daily, between G p.m. and 9 a.m. next week, London will he subjected to intense air attacks to test the efficiency of the defences. Four hundred aeroplanes, including some of the world’s fastest and most powerful machines, as well as heavy-night bombers, will he engaged. The attackers’ objective will be to pierce the ring of, searchlights. Antiaircraft batteries firing dummy shells will try lo bomb the Air-Ministry. Londoners are asked to be cheerful and to accept the loss of sleep as a contribution towards preventing a recurrence of the horrors of January 19, 1918.
