The Farmers’ Co-operative Aueiionocring Company Limited, report having held their Pularuru sale when only a small yarding of store cattle came forward, while a heavy entry of dairy cattle were penned. Dairy Cattle: The majority of which were of a medium quality, sold under good competition while the better sorts found a ready sale. MORRINSVILLE STOCK SALE. Messrs • Dalgety and Company, Limited, report having held their fortnightly slock sale at Morrinsville yesterday. A good yarding of cattle and a fair yarding of store pigs came forward. Prices were as follows: Light fat cows, £2 to £3 2s 6d; boner cows, 14s to 19s; two-year-old empty heifers, £1 6s to £2 Is; good wellgrown yearling heifers, £2 Is. There was a large yarding of dairy 'cattle, good Jersey heifers close to calving selling under keen competition. Prices: Springing Jersey heifers, £4 10s, £4 15s, £5 15s ami £5 17s Gd; Jersey heifers in milk, £3 10s to £4 ss; good Jersey cows, close to profit, £4 10s to £0; backward Jersey heifers, £3 to £4 ss; porkers, 21s to 37s 6d; good store pigs, 17s Gd to 235; good weaners, 12s Gd to 19s 6d.

NGARUAWAHIA SALE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, Hamilton, report, on the Ngaruawahia stock sale 'held yesterday:— Only a small yarding of fat and store cattle came forward and prices realised were on a par with recent quotalions. There was a large entry of cows and heifers the majority of which were low in condition, hut owing to the small attendance a dull sale resulted. We quote:— Light and unfinished fat cows, £2 5s to £3 ss; fresh conditioned, £1 7s to £2 Is; oull cows, 7s Gd to 17s Gd; best quality dairy cows, close to profit, £4 15s lo £5 10s; more backward, £3 5s to £4 10s; late calvers, £2 to £3.

CLEARING SALE AT PUTARURU. EXCEPTIONALLY GOOD PRICES. Messrs Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report having lield a clearing sale on Thursday, of dairy herd, horses, etc., on account of Mr F. Karl, Putaruru, who lias disposed of his farm. There was a very large attendance, and buyers were present from Whakatane, Rotorua and ail parts of the Waikato. The dairy herd was an exceptionally good one, and every cow was tested and tests given at sale. Competition was very keen, especially for the higher testing cows. Young cows with tests of 350 to 4591 b of butterfa I were' keenly competed for, and sold at from £9 to £l3. Older good quality cows with similar tests £7 15s to £9 15s, while the whole herd of 83 cows averaged £7 11s. Good quality Jersey heifers £4 15s to £5 10s, (he nine heifers averaging £5 2s Gd; 17 good quality Jersey heifer calves, £2 2s. 1 pedigree 3-year Jersey bull, £S Ss; 1 pedigree 8-year Jersey bull, lllgns: i pedigree 6-year Jersey hull, sgns. The draught horses hold-at £35 10s, £3ss 10s and £33. breeding sows made from £4 5s to £4 10s; Tamworth boar, £3; store pigs, 19s; sow and litter, £4 15s. Fourcow Treloar milking machine, £27 10s; drill, £l2: top-dresser, £l7 10s; iyne harrows, £7; chain harrows, £2 10s; sweep, £4 ss: disc harrows, £lO Jss; s.f. plough, £5 ss; d.f. plough, £lO 15s; mower, £l3 I Os: ditto, £10; cultivator, £2 ss: sodium sprayers, £2 15s, £4; spring 30cwt waggon, £2O; block waggon, £23; furniture and sundries fetched top market values. The whole of herd of Mr P. F. Karl, .ibnr., was equally well competed for, the best cows making from £8 to £l3, while llm whole herd of 61 sound tested cows averaged £7.

OHINEWAI HORSE SALE. Messrs G. W. Vercoe and Co. Limited, report having held a horse sale at Ohinewai yesterday when a small yarding of horses came forward. The quality generally was only fair but prices were very firm at latest ruling quotations. Medium draught horses sold from £2B to £3l; useful light sorts, £2O to £26 10s; light horses, £l6 to £l9; aged horses, £lO to £ls; hacks, £2 10s to £7 10s. MORRINSVILLE HORSE FAIR. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company Limited, report having field their winter horse sale on Thursday when only a small number of horses came forward. The demand was keen and consequently prices were in advance of recent sales. Quotations: Unbroken draught gelding, 4yrs., £2B 10s; heavy draughts, broken, all work, £3O to £3B; medium draughts, broken, all work, £32 to £34; useful farm horses, £lB to £25; ageci horses, £4 10s to £l2; good hacks, £9 10s to £11; child's pony, £7 10s; poorer pony, £2 to £4‘los.
