MATANGI NOTES.

READING AND DANCE. A very successful reading and dance evening" was organised by the St. David's 'Ladies’ Guild. The hall and stage were attractively decorated with streamers and flowers. The Matangi Dramatic Club gave a “humorous reading: “I Leave It To You,” by Noel Coward, parts being taken by Mesdames S. Pilkington. L. V. Judd and Misses Peggy Ranslcnd, Pefer Gorrie, Meric Hanks, Nora Ranslcnd, Messrs. M. W. Coventry, W. Ttanslcad, Bryan Oliver and Jeff. Chilly.

A delicious supper was served by Ihc ladies of the Guild, after which Mr Clayton and Mr Clem Coidicutt (Auckland), provided excellent music for tiie dancing, Mr 0. Trubsliaw acting as M.C.
