Wednesday 53 32 Thursday 53 31 Mean Temperature: 42 deg. The barometer reads 30.00 with a falling tendency. Indications are for cloudy weather to-day, with 'higher temperatures, south-easterly winds prevailing, but later veering to a northerly direction, when unsettled conditions may be expected. 10.5 degrees of frost were recorded this morning. Tho Rainfall. Rainfall for 24 hours ended 9 o’clock this morning, .001 n. Rainfall for previous 24 hours .OOln. Total for July to date, 4.231 n. Average rainfall for July, J 4.831 n. Rainfall for year to date, 22.70 in. Yeairly average, 46.321 n. SOUTH AUCKLAND AREA. (By Govt. Meteorologist.) The special forecast by the Government Meteorologist covering the WaikatoThames Valley is as follows: Forecast: Moderate but increasing north-east winds. Weather fair at first, but soon becoming dull and misty, with rain setting in. Mild temperatures. Seas moderate, but rising. General Inference: Pressure is rather high to the east of New Zealand, but a low pressure trough lies to the westward, with a centre west of Cape Maria Van Diemen.
