(Received May 31, 12.45 p.m.) FREMANTLE, May 31. •Mr Frank Watson, Continental buyer for Melbourne textile merchants and shippers, who is returning from England, described recent progress in Europe in the manufacture of synthetic textiles. He said: “A sample of Merino synthetic wool shown me l»y a Gorman caused me more alarm than the Paris riots. The appearance and handle were perfect. The wool possesses many qualilics which previously the manufacturer of synthetic wool has been unable lo produce, but apparently those dilllculties have been overcome."
