ITEMS OF INTEREST. CROQUET CLUB. THE ANNUAL MEETING. At the annual meeting of tiie Cambridge Croquet Club. Mrs W. 11. Hall presided over a good attendance. The following ofllccrs were elected:— President, Mrs W. 11. Hall; vice-presi-dents, Mrs Bell and Mrs Murray; lion, seerelary, Mrs 11. Hill; match commilteo, Mesdamcs A. Hopkins, E. Hardy and .1. Walt; green committee, Mesdamcs‘Murray. Bell and Hardy; general eonuniti.ee, Mesdamcs Butler, Rodgers, Harvey and Fitzgerald. Mrs A. Ilopkirk was appointed delegate to tiic South Auckland Association. Closing of Season. The club closed its season on Wednesday. when an enjoyable afternoon was spent on the greens. Progressive croquet was played, the A’s and B’s parlieipaling. The president, Mrs W. 11. Hall, congratulated the members on the successful year, and presented llie trophies won during the season as follows: —Championship, Mrs E. L. Hardy: ladder, Mrs E. Rodgers; Mrs Turner's trophy, Mrs A. Ilopkirk; Mrs Wall’s and Mrs Short’s trophy, Mrs II Hill; Mrs Staple’s trophies, Mrs llodgers and Mrs Short: progressive, .Vs. Mrs Ilopkirk: IPs.
