VALEDICTORY.
MRS K. E. MAGUIRE. On Friday afternoon 'Mrs K. E. Maguire, who has been in charge of the technical department of the Matamata District High School for the last six years, and who is leaving shortly for England, was entertained by the staffs of both schools at afternoon tea. Mr B. M. Kibblewhite, headmaster, expressed the regret of those present at her departure and presented her with a handbag and a 'crystal bead necklace as a mark of their esteem. A beautiful bouquet was also handed to Mrs Maguire toy the head girl in the school. Mrs Maguire suitably replied.
