WAIKATO CLUB. ' EXECUTIVE MEETS. SUCCESS OF RECENT FIXTURE. • t * ;> 'COMPLIMENT PAID. At a meeting of the "Waikato Trotting executive yesterday at which the president (Mr 11. A. Burch) presided complimentary reference to the conduct of the recent meeting of Die club by the stipendiary steward, Mr A. Commons, which was contained in his report to the conference, was tabled. "This was the Waikato Club’s first two- day meeting and it was a complete success in every way, 1 ’ he slates. “In fact it was easily the best meeting I have ever attended in the North Island.” It was decided to apply for the second Saturday in October for the club’s spring meeting and for the second Saturday in May (next year) for the autumn meeting. Members present at the meeting were Messrs D. D. W ilson, C. V. Curley, M. Meivendry, S. JRawlinson and J.' Dalgleish.
NEW SECRETARY APPOINTED. MR T. G. REYNOLDS RESIGNS. • At a meeting of the executive of the Waikato Trotting Club yesterday afternoon the resignation of Mr T. G. Reynolds as secretary of the Waikato Trotting Club was received with regret, the chairman, Mr 11. W. I?urch and members paying tribute to his services in the interests of the club over the past five years. .Mr W. 11. Allen at the invitation of the executive accepted the position of secretary to the club.
