Sister C. Bloxsome was appointed by the Waikato Hospital Board yesterday sister-ln-charge of the Te Kuiti Hospital in succession to Sister i\l. M. Hay.
The members of the St. Andrew’s Presbyterian choir took a party last week to the residence of T"
Fairfield, a member of tne choir who was recently married. A very happy evening was spent. Mr E. H. Apthorpe presented 1 ' . with an engraved silver entree dish on behalf of the members of the choir.
A very successful progressive games evening was held in the St. Peter's Parish Hall on Wednesday evening in aid of the Choir Queen, Miss May Oliver. The competition was won by Mr A. B. Whyte and Miss P. Tate. Supper was served by the ladies of the choir.
*** * , , Last Saturday Mrs Glephane, assisted by Miss Ramsey and Miss Jean Miller, gave a very jolly party lor her daughter Vivienne and her little l'riends. Those present were: Vivienne and Joan Glephane, Margaret Boyes, Marie Prentice, Joan and Betty Pinfold, Esther McGrail, Shirley Greenslade, Rosalie Seddon, Ruth and Marie Gordon, Rose Jolly, Moyna Grylls, Pat and Jean Guinness, Ruth Carbon, Marie Clough, Elsa Gilbert, Valerie Erwood, Noreen Cullinane, Masle Hayes, Viva Gore.
