COLLECTION OF RATES

POSITION IN WAIKATO

SATISFACTORY RESPONSE MADE

Although the ratepayers in the Waikato County have made a satisfactory response to the councils efforts to “collect the current rates and arrears, more than half of the levies are still unpaid. Current rates amounting to £34.205 were struck, and of tiffs total £10,306 or 49.1 per cent has been paid. The position in the various ridings is shown in the following table: — Riding Struck Collected per £ £ cent.
