The special forecast by the Government Meteorologist coveiing the WalkatoThames Valley is as follows: Forecast: Moderate to strong southerly winds, backing to south-east. Weather line and cold but some showers later in places with a south-easterly exposure. Seas rather rough. General inference: An intense anti-cyclone is moving on to New Zealand, the centre being west of Otago. THE RAINFALL. (Recorded at Bunkum.)
