A protest was to be sent against the Gaming Act, which was shortly to oome before Parliament. Mrs Hayward was appointed delegate to convention. Mrs Parry, who had recently come from New Plymouth, (reoeived a hearty welcome. Mrs Jones announced that she had attended the (Hamilton East Union meeting and that they had decided to discontinue their meetings and unite with the Hamilton Union.

The annual report was read by Mrs Seal and showed that there had been a busy year. The treasurer read the financial statement, which showed that there were 66 fully paid-up members. There was a credit balance. Other reports were: Oradle roll,—literature and press.
