PUBLIC TRUSTEE TO PAY. PROPERTY RENTALS INADEQUATE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Friday. Adopting the report of the referee-, Mr Page, S.M., Ills Honour, Mr Justice MacGregor to-day gave reserved judgment in the Merry case, awarding Mrs Merry £1059 15s 2d, with interest from June 30 and costs amounting to £Ol5, witnesses’ expenses and disbursements, against the Public Trustee. The action was taken on the ground •that rentals from certain properties were inadequate. His Honour fixed Hie remuneration or the referee at £lO5, which is also tc he paid by defendant.
