Auckland Gas met with a firm request at £1 3s 9d. In Colonial Sugars hardened buyers moved up to £6l 10s, with holders asking £1 more. Fertiliser shares attracted attention and £3 13s was available for N.Z. Drugs; 7s 8d for Farmers’ Fertilisers, and 17s 9d for Dominion Fertilisers.
