Trevor and Dawn, clever dancers / who have won muoh success elsewhere, will appear at the Civic Theatre to-night. Their dancing is said to be very apeotaoular and attractive, and should make a pleasant interlude In the picture programme.

“Gay Divorce” In Sydney. On board the Oronsay, which -arrived at Melbourne ion December 4, were four English artists under engagement to J. C. Williamson, Ltd. These were Billy Milton, Iris Kirkwhite, Madge Aubrey and Edward Royce, jun., who are to appear with the musical comedy company at present headed by Cyril Ritohard and Madge Elliot, who are returning to London this month. The new arrivals will open in Sydney in the first production in Australia of “Gay Divorce,” at Christnas.

Carter tho Great at Auckland. Carter the Great, the Illusionist, commenced another tour of New Zealand at Auckland on Thursday. He succeeded in thoroughly mystifying the audience with his spectacular illusions, while his less elaborate tricks were equally entertaining.

After the revival of “The Student prince” has finished its allotted run at the King’s Theatre, Melbourne, J. C. Williamson, Ltd., will stage for the first time in Australia “The Dubarry," the spectacular musical play in which Sylvia Welling won star rank in London under the most sensational circumstances, after the German prlma donna, Anny Ahlers, committed suicide. The role in which Miss Welling will appear is one that affords the actress outstanding opportunities for singing and acting. Old Favourites Returning.

Romola Hansen, feminine lead of the Williamson Musical Comedy Company to open at Auckland at Christmas in “The Arcadians," was in New Zealand as Margot in “The Desert Song." Herbert Browne, who plays opposite Miss Hansen, was also here in “The Desert Song,” and will be remembered, too, in “Wildflower," with Marie Burlco. , Don Nicol, the Peter Doody of 1 The Arcadians,” was here in “Whoopee."

Happy Revival of “ Our Miss Gibbs.” To give Madge Elliot and Cyril Ritchard an opportunity of saying farewell in one of their most popular musical plays, J. C. Williamson, Ltd., revived “ Our Miss Gibbs," at the Theatre Royal, says a Sydney paper. The popular pair appeared respectively as Mary Gibbs from Yorkshire, and as Hughic, the voluble crook, and the melodious numbers fell pleasantly as ever from their lips. “Ylp-I-Addy” was as popular as if it had been written yesterday. Marie le Varrc’s “ Hats " alone made the show well worth seeing. “ Our Miss Gibbs ” will run until Madgo Elliott and Cyril Ritchard say good-bye on December 15. Footllght Flashes.
