INJURIES TO EYE.
TE KUITI WORKER HURT. Painful, though not serious, injuries to the eye were received by James Patrick Meehan, 'aged 41 years, Of Te Kuiti, when working at a quarry of the Te Kuiti Lime Company yesterday. A chip flew from a companion’s pick and entered the eye, necessitating the injured man’s admission to the Waikato Hospital. It is unlikely that the sight of the eye will be permanently affected. His condition is not serious.
