INJURIES TO EYE.

TE KUITI WORKER HURT. Painful, though not serious, injuries to the eye were received by James Patrick Meehan, 'aged 41 years, Of Te Kuiti, when working at a quarry of the Te Kuiti Lime Company yesterday. A chip flew from a companion’s pick and entered the eye, necessitating the injured man’s admission to the Waikato Hospital. It is unlikely that the sight of the eye will be permanently affected.
