Values were: Forward cross bred wethers 16s to 18s 3d, ordinar ' 11s 3d to 14s, medium halfbred 13 3d to 14s 3d, small 11s to 12s 3d, ex tra good ewes and lambs (all coun! ed) to 20s 6d, ordinary to 14s 9( backward and inferior 5s 6d to 9: good 2-tooth halfbred ewes 19s to 20 Bd, medium 2-tooth three-quarter '.bred 17s 4d to 17s lid. | Fat Lambs.—The yarding consiste (of 1600 head. Tho quality was fail Freezers bought steadily, taking a fai number of big lambs, beside lighte freezing weights, the average being 7 to 7Jd per lb, with the export sched uie unchanged. Values were: Extr prime heavy lambs to 25s Id, prim heavy 19s 6d to 22s 6d, medium 16 6d to 19s, light 13s to 16s. Fat Sheep.—7’he entry of 4800 heai contained a number of North Islam and Chatham Islands lines. Th quality was fair. Freezers bough wethers and a few ewes. The sal was easier, the drop amounting to 3: on ewes and Is on wethers. Value; were: Extra prime heavy wethers ti 26s 4d, prime heavy 22s to 255, primi medium-weight 20s to 21s 9d, ordinary 17s to 19s 6d, light 14s 6d to 16; 6d, extra prime heavy ewes to 24s Id prime heavy 19s to 21s, mediumweight prime 15s 6d to ,18s 6d, ordinary 12s to 15s, light ewes 9s 6d tc 11s 6d. Cattle.—The yarding of 500 was 150 head too many. After the firs few pens had come forward the sale became very dull, steers falling by £1 and cows fully 30s. Best beef made £1 to 22s 6d per 1001 b, good 16s tc 19s, heavy-weight 15s 6d to 18s, me-dium-weight 12s to 14s, rough dowr to 10s 6d. Values'were: Extra prime heavy steers to £ll 17s 6d, prime heavy £7 10s to £9, medium-Aveighl prime £7 to £8 ss, ordinary quality £4 ito £6, light to £3 15s, extra prime heifers to £7 17s 6d, prime £4 to £6, medium £2 15s to £3 15s, light to £2 10s, extra prime cows to £6 17s >6d, prime £4 to £5, medium £2 10s to £3 15s, light to £2 ss. Fat Pigs.-—The pens contained the biggest yarding for the season. All sorts met with good competition from local and export buyers. Two exporters were operating, and more (than 400 were bought for export. Values were: Choppers 30s to £2 18s 6d, baconers 42s 6d to 50s 6d, heavy 54s 6d to £2 19s 6d, extra heavy £3 Is 6d to £3 8s 6d, average 4id to 4id per lb; porkers 26s to 32s Gd, heavy 33s 6d to 39s Gd, average 41 d to sAci per lb.
