HAMILTON REGATTA.

PROGRAMME ARRANGED. DETAILS DISCUSSED. Details in connection with Hamilton’s Anniversary Day Regatta on January 29 were discussed at a meeting of the executive committee of the Regatta and Carnival Association last evening. The question ol‘ introducing speedboat racing was raised, but doubt was expressed as to whether sufficient entries would lie. forthcoming in view of the fact that all the Auckland speedboat competitors will bo engaged at the Auckland Regatta. The mailer was deferred for further investigation. It was also suggested that swimming races should he numbered among the aequatic events. After discussion, this matter was also deferred. Arrangements were made for the usual attractions such as wrestling. Highland piping and dancing, St. John. Ambulance competitions, canoe racing and novelty events. It was stated that everything augured well for an excellent regalia and the rowing should he parllrularly keen. A furl her meeting was arranged for next Tuesday.
