AUSTRALIAN WOMEN. RECORD BROKEN AT AUCKLAND. AUCKLAND, Friday. The visiting Australian swimmers, Misses Frances Bult and Claire Dennis, competed in the second carnival staged by the Waitemata Swimming Club last evening. Miss 'Bult won the 220 yards freestyle test in 2.44 3-ss, breaking the New Zealand record, and later sprinted 50 yards in 28 2-ss,' this time equalling the New Zealand record.

Although defeated by one of her male opponents in the 100 yards scratch race at breaststroke, 'Miss Dennis again gave a glimpse of her world championship form.
