The question of the conditions under which Norfolk Island products will be admitted to New-Zealand is being taken up by the Government with tlie Commonwealth .Government, j according to a letter which the Min- I lstor of Customs, Hon. Coates, j has addressed to Mr McKeen, M.P. j Mr Coates states that in the mean- i time goods from the Island will be J admitted at the rates provided for under the British preferential tariff, without payment of a surtax. They will be on the same footing as goods j from tlie Crown colonies, protector- j ates, and mandated territories. j
